Obligation?

wouldnt it suck big time if u were to be in a relationship where ur significant other calls u, or txt u, or meet up with u, n do stuff with u, all out of obligation? so that u wont pick a fight. so that ud stop nagging. so that everything would just be ok between u two. u know. not because he/she actually wants to talk to u, or see u. not because the sound of ur voice makes him/her happy. not because by getting that daily dose of u, he/she can forget anything crappy that happened during the day. not because he/she finds the day incomplete without a txt/call/testimonial/blog shoutout fr u. wouldnt it suck? would it be wrong for u to not be ok with it? or shud u just be ok with the whole thing n say, "oh well, at least we're ok. at least i get the attention fr him/her."? Ppl say, give credit to every effort made. He/she loves u n so he/she tries hard to make u happy. Yes, give credit. But it's like, how can one be happy knowing that whatever that's being done is not totally voluntary, but in fact, sort of like, an obligation? when asked, he/she would say "no, im not doing all this because i feel obligated to. i want to." and so do u simply believe what is being said even though ur heart thinks otherwise, or do u listen to u what ur heart tells u? for the person can lie to make u feel better, but can ur heart ever be wrong?
